José Feliciano is one of the best-known celebrities in the international entertainment-business, one of the most prominent Latin-born performers of the pop era, singer and guitarist. José was born blind Sept.10, 1945 in Lares, Puert Rico. When he was 5, he and his family immigrated to New York City´s Spanish Harlem area. There Feliciano began learning the accordion, taught himself to play the guitar with undaunted determination and made his first public appearance at the age of nine.

Feliciano has been awarded as the “Best living Pop-Jazz-and Rock guitarist”, awarded over 45 Gold and Platinum records, and has won 16 Grammy nominations and many other awards.
