George Thorogood, a popular U.S. rock-and-roll performer and a blues-rock guitarist, originally was a minor-league basaball player but decided to become a musician in 1970 after seeing John Paul Hammond in concert.

In 1973 he assembled The Destroyers in his home state of Delaware. He became a popular favorite in the early 80´s and all his albums went gold. By the beginning of the 90´s, Thorogood´s audience began to decrease and none of the released albums went gold again. Despite his declining record sales he continued to tour Blues&Rock Clubs and with his music, loud, simple and direct and “Bad to the Bone” he usually is still drawing large crowds at the present and his concerts are still sold out. There is no sign of slowing down.

Thorogood and his band headed to Europe for the release of the new album in June 2006 and returned back to the USA and to concerts in Canada and finish the year with more than 80 shows by fall.
