Palmer, grandson to play in
Father-Son Challenge

Arnold Palmer has two daughters but no sons. Lee TREVINO thought it was a shame Palmer had to skip the yearly Father-Son Golf Tournament. Trevino was sure there was a way to get around that detail and told the organizers about Palmer´s 16-year old grandson Sam Saunders who was very good at golf.

The Palmer-Saunders pairing is one of 16 in a field where the fathers have combined for 60 major championships. Other competitors for the 1 million purse include Trevino and son Tony, and Jack Nicklaus and Jack Nicklaus II.

Palmer , 74, is the oldest player, the youngest is Javier Ballesteros, 13, son of Seve.

Palmer, the winner of 92 tournaments worldwide, including seven majors, gets extreme warm reception everywhere he goes …definitely one of the favorites and most popular golfers in the world.
