Pinehurst closed No.2 already on May 31 to begin final
U.S. Open preparations and make sure the course is in good condition.
The last golfers left the course late Monday, meaning Pinehust Resort had been turning away golfers that would pay U$ 375 for a round.

The course reopened June 13 for practise rounds, and the four-day tournament began June 16.
