About over 10.000 fans came to watch the spectacle and action on the weekend when the
Superstars of Moto X raced and jumped along the 350 meter long, muddy and dusty course
at the Indoor-Supercross-Event in Vienna. Numerous jumps, some even between 8-10 meters
high impressed the audience. The air was filled with dust and fume of the roaring engines of
the 12.000-15.000 €uro bikes. About 3.000 m3 loam and soil were prepared for the track.
The Austrians Markus Mauser, Michael Staufer, Oswald Reisinger (on Honda), and Heinz Straub
(all on KTM) unfortunately only made it to the Semi-Finals; the 16-year old Jeff Alessi from California was in the lead, till a bad fall put him back on 9th place.
