Performances of Historic Riding Traditons
by the ESTERHÁZY HUSSARS

The Hussars have their residence in Hof near the “Leitha-Gebirge” (Leitha-hills) in Burgenland, AUSTRIA and can look back to a history that is rich in ancient riding traditions and arts. Originally the Esterházy Hussars were founded by Duke Paul Anton in 1741.
In 2000 the traditional corps was founded again by Duke Anton II. Esterházy de Galántha, (a descendant of Duke Paul Anton) on the initiative of Lieutenant Colonel Zoltán Kickinger.
Nowadays the Hussars impress with their spectacular performances such as Military Exercises, Standard Quadrille, Pas de deux, jumping shows, trick riding , circus tricks and much more.
